Principal attorney Zachary Margulis-Ohnuma opened a solo practice of law in 2004 after clerking for a federal judge in the Southern District of New York and working at a large international law firm. He built the practice focusing on sex crimes, complex federal crimes, and serious civil rights abuses. The practice grew as Mr. Margulis-Ohnuma obtained reversals of state and federal convictions, acquittals in state court, and multiple verdicts and settlements of millions of dollars in civil rights cases. Associate attorney Victoria Medley joined our team in 2018 after graduating from Brooklyn Law School working as a criminal defense lawyer for nearly four years. Our attorneys are supported by a full-time paralegal, Sophia Lattanzio, who recently graduated from Bowdoin College. Lisa Taapken, a student at Fordham Law School, rounds out our team as a part-time law clerk.
